Monogrammed Tote Bags: A Christmas Gift They'll Actually Use

The Everyday Tote Travel Bag from The Charmé Edit, patched and packed for a trip

Monogrammed gifts sit in a nice middle ground at Christmas, personal enough to feel considered, without the sizing guesswork of clothing. Here's why a monogrammed tote works well under the tree, and how simple it is to add.

Why a Monogram Works as a Gift

Unlike a jumper or a pair of shoes, a tote bag's size doesn't need guessing, and a monogram makes it clearly theirs rather than a generic bag anyone could own. It also doesn't reveal itself through the wrapping the way a lot of personalised gifts do, from the outside it just looks like a nicely wrapped present.

How It Works

Our Tennis Bag and Travel Bag, both £48, already come finished with their own patch design and give you the option to replace the stitched-on letters with initials or a short word instead. Leave the field blank at checkout and the bag ships exactly as shown, fill it in and we'll swap the lettering for you. For the full walkthrough, see our guide to how custom letters work.

Timing It for Christmas

Because custom letters are made to order, allow 2 to 5 working days for production before dispatch, on top of shipping time, our guide to ordering early for Christmas covers this if you're working to a deadline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which totes can I add a monogram to?

Custom letters are currently available on the Tennis Bag and Travel Bag.

Will the bag look obviously personalised from the outside when wrapped?

No, the monogram is part of the bag's finished design, it doesn't show through gift wrap any differently to a plain tote.

How many letters can I add?

We'd recommend keeping it to two or three characters so it sits well on the bag.

How far ahead of Christmas should I order a monogrammed tote?

Allow 2 to 5 working days for production plus shipping time, ordering by early December is a safe general guide for UK delivery.
