Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 04/04/2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all sales of products (“Products”) by The Charmé Edit (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the purchaser (“Customer”, “you”). By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
As each piece is individually handmade, we celebrate slight variations as part of what makes every Charmé Edit piece one-of-a-kind.
1. Orders
1.1 All orders are subject to acceptance by The Charmé Edit. We reserve the right to decline orders where necessary.
1.2 Orders are confirmed only once payment in full has been received.
1.3 It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure all details (including shipping address, device model, and order specifications) are correct before submitting the order.
1.4 Orders may be cancelled within one (1) hour of being placed. After this time, cancellations will not be accepted as production may have already begun, particularly for made-to-order and customised items.
2. Prices and Payment
2.1 Prices are listed in GBP (£) and include UK VAT where applicable.
2.2 We cover U.S., Germany, and Australia customs duties, so customers will not need to pay additional fees upon delivery.
2.3 Customers outside the UK, US, Germany, and Australia are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees applicable in their country. If such charges are refused or unpaid and the parcel is returned to us, reshipment will only be made once additional shipping costs are covered. Where a Customer refuses to pay these charges, we are unable to offer a refund.
2.4 Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
3. Production and Delivery
3.1 Many of our Products, including all phone cases, are made to order. Production is typically completed within five (5) to seven (7) business days prior to dispatch. While we endeavour to meet this timeframe, additional time may occasionally be required due to material availability, seasonal demand, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will inform you and provide an updated dispatch estimate.
3.2 Delivery times provided at checkout are estimates only and do not constitute a guarantee.
3.3 Risk of loss or damage passes to the Customer once the Products are dispatched from our premises.
3.4 Where parcels are left outside the delivery address or with a neighbour at the Customer’s request, such Products are left entirely at the Customer’s risk.
3.5 If a parcel is returned due to incorrect address, non-collection, or unpaid duties, made-to-order Products are not eligible for refund. Re-delivery costs must be covered by the Customer.
4. Customised and Made-to-Order Products
4.1 All phone cases are made to order and customised to the Customer’s selected device model.
4.2 Such Products are non-refundable and non-returnable in cases of Customer error, including incorrect model selection, change of mind, or duplicate orders.
4.3 This does not affect statutory rights where a Product is faulty, or damaged.
4.4 Due to the handmade nature of our Products:
(a) minor variations in colour, finish, or placement are inherent characteristics and do not constitute faults;
(b) where a charm or decorative element is unavailable, we may substitute a comparable item of equal or greater value without altering the overall design;
(c) due to varying charm sizes and layering, slight unevenness in gel distribution may occur and is considered part of the handmade design rather than a defect.
4.5 Silicone-based Products may carry a temporary scent due to the curing and packaging process. This is normal and will naturally dissipate when aired. Slight yellowing or changes in clarity may also occur over time due to normal usage and exposure to external factors such as makeup, oils, dirt, and environmental elements. This is part of the material’s natural ageing process and does not constitute a fault.
5. DIY Kits
5.1 DIY Kits may be returned within fourteen (14) days of receipt, provided all components remain unused, sealed, and in original packaging.
5.2 All returns must be sent back to our UK address. The Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, including international shipping, duties, and any associated fees.
5.3 Once opened or assembly has begun, The Charmé Edit is not liable for the final outcome or misuse of materials.
5.4 Due to temperature changes and transit time during delivery, the silicone gel included in DIY Kits may partially cure or thicken slightly. This is a natural characteristic of the material and does not affect usability. We provide more than sufficient gel in each kit to ensure there is enough for the intended use.
5.5 DIY Kits contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3 years. Recommended for ages 12+ with adult supervision.
6. Standard (Non-Custom) Products
6.1 Non-custom Products (excluding DIY Kits) may be returned within fourteen (14) days of receipt, provided they are unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition.
6.2 All returns must be sent back to our UK address. The Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, including international shipping, duties, and any associated fees.
6.3 Where a return or exchange is requested without any quality issue or fault with the Product, all shipping costs must be fully covered by the Customer. This includes the original delivery cost, return shipping, and any reshipment fees.
7. Acceptance of Products
7.1 The Customer must inspect all Products within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery. Unless we are notified in writing with photographic evidence within this period, Products will be considered accepted and free from any visible defects.
8. Faulty or Damaged Goods
8.1 Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8.2 We are not liable for:
(a) wear and tear;
(b) misuse or neglect;
(c) accidental damage;
(d) exposure to water, chemicals, oils, or heat;
(e) continued use after a defect is identified.
8.3 Minor variations inherent to handmade Products do not constitute faults.
8.4 The following do not constitute faults and are not eligible for refund or replacement:
(a) personal preference issues including scent, colour tone, or aesthetic expectations;
(b) characteristics inherent to handmade or cured materials;
(c) minor variations that do not affect functionality.
9. Materials, Allergies, and Care
9.1 Products may contain silicone, metals, and trace materials including nickel. Customers with sensitivities should avoid purchase.
9.2 Care instructions must be followed. Failure to do so voids liability.
10. Intellectual Property
All designs, content, and products remain the intellectual property of The Charmé Edit.
11. Warranties and Liability
11.1 Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the Product.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our control.
13. Costs of Enforcement
Customers agree to reimburse costs arising from breach of these Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
