How to Personalise Your Tote Bag With Iron-On Patches

Our tote bags are designed to be simple to make personal. Beyond picking your bag colour, you can add iron-on patches to build a layout that's genuinely yours, or choose one of our ready-designed sets if you'd rather skip the styling altogether. Here's how the patches actually work, what they cost, and how to keep them looking sharp.

Start With a Plain Tote

Our Customise your Everyday Tote, from £32, gives you a blank canvas tote in Cream White, Olive Green or Deep Navy, ready for your own patches. It's the same 100% organic cotton canvas as the rest of our tote range, 46 x 31 x 15cm, with an inside pocket, an outside pocket and a keychain hook, just without a design chosen for you yet.

Choosing and Placing Your Patches

Browse the full patches collection, £3 each, organised by category so you can build a design around a theme, sports, food, or travel, or simply pick pieces you like the look of individually. Add as many as you want to your basket, we'll lay them out and heat-press each one onto the canvas as part of your order, the same way we finish our own ready-designed sets, so there's no ironing or gluing for you to do at home.

Patch Discounts

The more patches you add, the more you save. Add 5 or more and you get 10% off, 8 or more brings that up to 15%, and 10 or more gets you 20% off, all applied automatically at checkout, no code needed.

Already Designed, If You'd Rather Skip the Styling

If choosing and placing your own patches isn't what you're after, our ready-designed sets, Tennis, Travel, Grocery and Beach Bag, are already finished with our own patch designs, from £48. You still pick a colour, but the layout is done for you.

Looking After Your Patches

Each patch is heat-pressed on as part of our own design, so it's ready for everyday use. Just take a little extra care around the patch and avoid pulling at the edges. If a patch begins to lift, cover it with a thin cotton cloth and iron at 150°C / 302°F for 30 to 60 seconds, without steam. Turn the tote inside out and iron the reverse for another 30 seconds, then allow it to cool completely.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many patches can I add to one tote?

Add as many as you'd like to see on the bag. Our automatic patch discounts step up at 5, 8 and 10 or more patches.

Do I need to arrange the patches myself?

No, once you've chosen your patches we lay them out and heat-press them onto your tote as part of your order.

Is there a minimum order for the patch discount?

Yes, the discount starts at 5 patches, with better rates at 8 and 10 or more, and it's applied automatically at checkout.

Can I add extra patches to a ready-designed set, like the Tennis or Beach Bag?

The ready-designed sets already come with their own patch layout, if you'd like extra patches added on top, get in touch and we'll see what's possible.
